Casita Zumbador (Hummingbird)

Casita Zumbador is a one-room cabana with private bath tucked away in a jungle setting on the Casa Picaflores property. Casita Z - as it is fondly called - was created to provide individuals or couples a snaphot of life in the El Yunque Rain Forest.  By day you are surrounded by singing birds, fresh fruit, sunshine and lush green foliage; at night the coquis will sing you to sleep.  

Casita Z is equipped with a Queen bed, compact refrigerator, ceiling fan, coffee maker, beach towels, radio/CD player and hair dryer. Casita guests may use microwave and grill in El Bohio. It is a great spot for peaceful, quiet seclusion in the middle of a natural, rainforest setting. 

Our charming casita accomodates a couple or single. There is  a balcony running the length of the front of the cabana, with two chairs and a bistro table. The casita has a small yard  bordered by bananas, breadfruit, oranges, grapefruit, coconut palms and a stream. Guests are welcome to any fruit they can gather on our farm.

A lovely place to lay your head while exploring El Yunque, and soaking in rainforest waterfall pools.

As with any tourist lodging outside of San Juan, you will need a car to stay here.

The Casita rents for $129/night, plus 7% PR room tax.

Smoking and pets are not allowed. Guests are expected to maintain a reasonable level of quiet from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.  Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. If you arrive prior to check-in time, you  may leave your bags with us and go exploring while we prepare your room.  Check-out time is 11 a.m.
